The Orchestra's most important educational mission is to popularize the music of contemporary Russian composers, many of whom were represented at the Tribune of Contemporary Music International Competition, held under the auspices of UNESCO. The Orchestra is a regular participant of the Moscow Autumn International Festival for Contemporary Music.
Russian Composers' Heritage Revival is one of the most significant projects implemented with the participation of the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra. This is a long-term multimedia project, by which has been restored and recorded the undeservedly forgotten music of Russian and Soviet composers: Anton Arensky, Nikolai Golovanov, Alexander Mosolov, Leonid Polovinkin and Georgy Catoire.
